Media Interview Participation, Guidance, and Follow-up
At HighTech Public Relations, we don’t just arrange media interviews and wish you luck. We help prepare you for the interviews as much as possible. To prepare clients for interviews, we work to identify the questions that will be asked and create a briefing sheet that provides background on the interviewer and the organization. We also identify specific key messages and talking points to be used during the interview, role-play, and discuss possible scenarios in advance of the interview. We participate in the interview, take extensive notes and help to fill in any gaps to ensure all pre-determined key messages are used. We follow up after each interview with the client and the journalist/analyst to ensure the wrap-up of a successful interview.
Rapid Response
We also monitor the wires, online sites, blogs, webinars, podcasts and key trades for news or issues that can impact your market. This rapid response procedure may include drafting issues position statements and/or letters-to-the-editor on behalf of our clients, or immediately pitching top-tier reporters on an alternative or extension story, depending on the topic and publication.
Trade Show Support
Unlike many other agencies, supporting our clients at trade shows and at major industry events is an important part of our PR program. We arrange interviews/meetings with key journalists/analysts in advance or onsite during the show, and we provide on-site PR support, when needed.
